Every K-pop fan has a mental map of Seoul's entertainment districts long before they ever set foot in Korea. When you finally arrive, these places feel strangely familiar — and that recognition makes them genuinely moving to visit. Here's how to make the most of each.

🟣 HYBE — Yongsan (용산)

HYBE Insight Museum

The crown jewel of any K-pop pilgrimage. HYBE — home to BTS, SEVENTEEN, NewJeans, TXT, Le Sserafim, and more — runs a public museum called HYBE Insight on the lower floors of its striking Yongsan headquarters.

What's inside:

🔴 SM Entertainment — Cheongdam (청담)

SM HQ Building

The iconic glass-fronted building in Cheongdam-dong is SM's main base — home to EXO, aespa, SHINee, NCT/WayV, BoA, and many more. The building is recognisable from countless fancams and artist vlogs.

SM Store (청담) Right near the HQ, the official SM Store carries exclusive merchandise not available elsewhere — artist-specific collections, limited editions, and collaboration items. Worth browsing even if you're not a specific SM fan.

SMTOWN COEX Artium — Gangnam (강남)

A short taxi or subway ride from Cheongdam, the SMTOWN COEX Artium in Gangnam is SM's flagship fan complex:

YG Building

The neighbourhood: Hapjeong and adjacent Mangwon-dong have a distinctly local, non-touristy feel compared to Gangnam's entertainment district. Coffee shops, vintage stores, and local restaurants surround the building — a pleasant area to spend an afternoon.

Informal "YG Street": The cluster of fan-favourite cafés and restaurants near the YG building has been nicknamed YG Street by international fan communities. Several spots are known for being frequented by YG artists.

🔵 Kakao Entertainment / Other Agencies

Starship Entertainment, IST Entertainment, Pledis — Gangnam
